Kids in Flight's Co-Pilot program is a personal one-on-one experience for both children and their families where they have the undivided attention of a Kids in Flight Volunteer Pilot. Before and after their unforgettable sightseeing flight, the child and their family are able to take the time to interact with their pilot and ask questions about flying. In addition to memories of their flight together, families take home keepsakes such as family photos, t-shirts and even a bomber jacket for the ill child.
We feel that this program provides the child and his or her family with a unique and memorable experience that is just for them. Not only will they experience the joy of aviation, but they can do it in an atmosphere geared around their comfort level as opposed to a large group setting.
Kids in Flight will begin accepting applications on our website for this program soon. Families who have flown with us in the past through the Wings of Wonder program are eligible, but please note that new families will be given priority for the flights.
If a family has health related concerns, they should contact their doctor prior to the event. The aircraft are not pressurized and will not go above 5,000 feet.
